i got got got no time

    for anything.

i'm so busy. i loaded too much on my plate this year. President of student council. Editor of the school paper. National Honors Society. Alyssa. Friends. The band. School work. College. Whiffle ball. Work. Concerts. Sleep?

Priorities definitely not in that order. And there's more happening than that. I've been skipping things. Skipped a student council meeting yesterday, actually, showed up late and it was already over. Skipped the NHS meeting on accident. Skipped a whiffle ball game to watch Team America with Kristina. That just simply had to be done. I hadn't seen the movie yet. No, she didn't get the unrated version, but it was still freakin' hilarious.

I didn't go to Cream and that's all I'm ever going to talk about it again for the rest of my life. The end.

I'm taking so many pictures this year. I just want to be able to look back and remember everything. My memory is shit, it used to be so good. Stupid summer fucked it up. Oh boy did I learn from that. Just simple memories that made me happy, can't remember stuff anymore. I want to videotape everything. That's going to be the only way I can remember things forever. But I've found when you tape things, they're rarely as good when you watch it as when it happened. But hey, better than nothing.

I forgot I had this livejournal thing. Too busy.

Foo Fighters rocked. Ben Folds coming up. Then NYC. Then Texas. Then who knows. I like how life is unpredictable. I like the fact that we just don't know. We don't really have a clue about anything. We think we do, but no, not even close. Love, the future, religion ... nobody knows.

The only thing that is certain in this mad world is that Team America is fucking hilarious.

    So

I basically had the best 3 days ever.

Alyssa is the most amazing person ever.

Will Gattis had the best birthday party ever.

Me and Alyssa talked, and when MySpace decides to start working again, me and her have to change our status to "In A Relationship". Ain't that sweet. She is the greatest.

big thanks to whoever left shit in my barn. so pissed im not even going to elaborate like i want to.

    *sigh*

i like Mount Vernon, I'm going up there often. I can sort of get away from everything, but it's only like 35 to 40 minutes away. So whenever I'm invited, it's up to Mount Vernon. Hoo-ray.

Ben Folds on Friday. Really looking forward to that. But the coolest peep in the world isn't going. *another sigh*

    ugh

oh and Alyssa is too cool. ps - thats perhaps the biggest reason I like Mount Vernon.

i had an awesome title, but i cant remember what it was
Today was great, spent some quality time with my two favorite people with sideburns. Dustin Watson picked me up and we went to Portland. Walked around, bumped into Sophi and Celia @ Anthony's. Amazing pizza. Then I saw Spencer Albee, he says I'm taller than last time. Saw some shit band play, then Aslyn (they were great), then Better Than Ezra. They didn't impress me. Saw Kate Salonen, or Kevin's Hot Little Sister as many of you may know her. Sully's moment in the sun. Great to see her, I haven't in ages. Was supposed to see Jordan Lake, but that never panned out for some unknown reason. We were both there, but couldnt find each other or something. So a few songs into Better Than Ezra, I totally left. Saw Billy Libby, he's great. Went down to Bell Buoy Park and saw As Fast As sit around and play 10 second clips of their songs for some homosexual TV network, Queer TV or something. It was interesting. Spence told me to get him a beer. The band was very weirded out by their lack of playing and the whole shindig. I missed the Leftovers, sigh. Good to see AFA though.

On our way home, the ecstacy of the evening's happiness came to a crashing halt with a phone call from Kyjo. (For those of you that don't know, Kyjo ranks incredibly high on my list of Top 5 Favorite People of All-Time). Kyjo and I were planning to be the centerpiece of a trip to Boston to see Ben Folds. Buuuut turns out, her parents aren't so keen on the idea anymore. The news ruined my evening, I was deadset on spending a quality evening in a big city with such an awesome person. No offense to Em Page, Willie Roy, Mike O'Neal, and Mychal, buuuut ... KYJO!!! I say we keep fighting, maybe they'll cave in. I planned this trip with Kyjo, it's not gonna be the same without her.

It's so late right now and I feel like I'm floating. I kinda like it. Hot air balloon-esque, seriously. I feel really far away from the computer.

Now I just concentrated and I'm REALLY close. My mind is nuts, and I gotta stop wearing my glasses. Back to contacts tomorrow, it was a good week. Sea Dogs tomorrow with Dustin and hopefully Alyssa. Should be fun. AHHHHH BED TIME

    I'm so ashaimed.

I didn't call Kyjo last night. She didn't know about my partay. Yes, she's one of my Top 5 Favorite People of All-Time (probably top 3, but shhh) but I didn't think she'd be able to make it and if she knew about it she'd be depressed. I am a horrible, horrible person.

And I deserve this wicked hangover, I suppose. It's gnarly.

'Bout 25 people came last night, probably the best one yet. I went to bed at 6am, if that's any indication. Let's see if I can name everyone that showed up:
Lindsey, Madison, Emily, Gabe, Wil, Ian, Nick, Alex, Andy, Eben, Dakota, GON DECK, Schieber, Jenny, JB, Susannah, Zach, Dustin, Richie, Pearl, Doyon, Maxx, Tom, and probably a few others. I honestly can't remember. I'm gonna go try to stomach some food.

I hope Kyjo doesn't beat me up.

    wow

I stole Taylor's blanket and she helped me make a toga. I took a lap around the parking lot, tons of people honked. I broke my big toe, contrary to what Andy says. I can't move it or put weight on it, and its swollen. And my left eye socket is swollen too. Battle wounds. Britt's feet were pretty gross, but I think I took the cake. I went barefoot for the whole show.

    Ridiculous, totally ridiculous.
I'm gonna go take a bath and try to recover for our show/recording session tomorrow.

    Stay classy, San Diego.

So, Bobby Abreu just won the Home Run Derby.

I met him in 2003, I feel awesome. He signed my baseball and some other stuff after a game, incredibly nice guy. I was rooting for him the whole time. He hit a ball 517 feet. I was quite amazed.

    Weezer's tomorrow.

Ashley Pierce and I are starting to hang out again. Which is awesome. Cuz last summer, we hung out like 3 times a week and it was the best. Rustic & PSC, full blast. Cruisin around in Bowie. Swimming, SUPER NINTENDO, grilled cheese/other awesome food, watching The Truman Show at like 2:30am ... those were the days. We're watching Spinal Tap on Wednesday.

Katelyn just left, she's gonna go live in the woods for 2 weeks. I'm kinda worried, she's been sick for at least a month, and living in the woods won't help her get better.

    Autumn Grey
Played a killer show on Friday. I had a mustache, everyone said I looked like Ron Burgandy. It was great. We played with PLANESIDE!!! I love seeing those guys, we've really befriended them. They played "Autumn Grey"! They thoroughly enjoyed our set, they had a lot of good specific things to say, really boosted our confidence. To put things in perspective, they were good friends with and toured with John Entwistle of THE WHO, and they've recently played with Sum41, Steve Miller Band, and Queens of the Stone Age. Denny's was awesome, Gattis was there. Good times.

Today, Chris Hill and I went over and practiced with Emily Page, the coolest pianist this side of the Mississippi. No offense Gattis or Albee, but the gal can play. She'll be sitting in with Specter for a few shows, and she'll be on the next album as well. Chris left, and I watched Spinal Tap. Awesome movie. I then hung out with Ashley Pierce, she's the greatest. One of my dearest friends, we always have a blast together. Good times, the water was too cold tonight so we're gonna try it again tomorrow. Went to Schieber's for a little bit, ate his food. Ashley made me hot chocolate, she isnt my personal chef for nothing. I'll be hanging with Mykelle (I SPELT THAT WRONG) from my work tomorrow as well, she rocks.

hope they kind of ... stop before next april, cuz I dont want that going on while im there.

so me and Kyjo are going to see Ben Folds in Boston

    i cant wait

I'm going to see the Steve Miller Band at the Tweeter Center, anyone wanna go? i think my dad'll cave in and go, but if not, or if you want to come .. its on the table.

War of the Worlds was pretty sweet. sort of liked the ending, sort of hated it.

hanging out with Mike LeComte tonight, i cant wait. been so long since ive seen him.

Kyjo's trying to get me to work at Dunkin Donuts, but that'll mean I have to do work. actually work. not bullshitin around at Rite Aid. id be making 13 cents less an hour. my friend Ashly Tangway wants me to work with her at Abercromie in Freeport, hahaha. i actually thought about it, but the money isnt good enough. just wouldnt make sense. thatd be funny though, me at Abercromie. she pretty much got me hired, but i had to pass. We'll see about double D's. early hours, less flexible, actual work .. buuuut, working with Kyjo, who happens to be on my top 5 All-Time Favorite People list. so its a tough call. Ashly, Lindsey, and Jenna better not leave Rite Aid, or itll be a no brainer. Ashly might leave soon, Stacey already left. the best part of all this is, nobody actually gives a shit, and I have nothing better to write about. cuz everyone bailed on going to Rangeley again.

    we'll see what happens.

PS - SPECTER RAWK SHOW on Friday @ Johnson Hall in Gardiner, with PLANESIDE!!!! they fucking rule, i'd go to this show even if I wasnt playing. seriously. love these guys, they're from New York City. think Foo Fighters on steroids. the lead singer even looks like Dave Grohl. Worth the trip.

    Right On Time
    What a horrible weekend

    Friday was pretty good

Hung out with Teala and Dakota and Gabe after school. Roasted through graduation. Then went outside & found Kyjo. Talked with folks for a while, Brew & Beeckel. Side Man. Conor. Then the seniors came out, saw Tom, Willie, Robert, everyone. I told Kyjo, it was really sad to know that they're done and that's it, but it was also such a happy moment. This graduating class will go on to do great things.

Then we all went to Conor's camp. Me, Kyjo, Sideman, Conor, Matty, Ashley, and Jake. We all said goodbye to Jake. We went to Antigoni's to get a pizza. I dropped a slice on Wil and we got burned. Later, Kim, Jenny, Dakota, Teala, and Gabe showed up. Then I brought Jake home, and I probably won't see him for a very long time.

So Saturday I took Kristina up to camp. The bugs were really bad so it wasn't fun. She spotted an awesome field full of flowers, and I took her picture in it. It'll be the best picture ever. We went swimming. It was kinda cold, but I went numb pretty quickly. I now have some awkward bug bites all over me. I dropped her off at home and went back to my place. And did absolutely nothing. It was really depressing. Gattis called me, wanted to know if I was in Portland. Wish I had been, because I had nothing to do. Beeckel wasn't home, nobody answered their cell phones. Did I mention I had the house to myself?

Nobody was around on Sunday either. I'm not in any group of friends, so the people I hang with all go to their usual groups and I'm always left out.

I really hope my whole summer doesn't go like this. It'll be horribly depressing if it is.

I want to travel, because I have a feeling this is going to be a boring summer. I don't want to work the whole time.

College scares me. I'm looking forward to senior year, a lot. I'm thinking it might be the only time I see my friends, if this summer blows and all.

But it'll be ok. Kyjo's pool, Weezer in Lewiston, Dead Poetic in NH, I'm going to Virginia, I want to go to Canada, Chicago in September (not really summer, but still something to look forward to), maybe Coldplay in August. I want to go to the beach a lot. A lot. A few times a week.

Do you know how bored I was yesterday? I lit money on fire and took pictures of it burning.

    I'm Not Like Everybody Else
Last night was girls night out, and I was the chauffeur. I worked from 8 to 4. Kristina and Cara picked me up for lunch at noon, that was fun. Ate at Wendy's and listened to some fantastic music. So after work I picked up Kyjo, Katelyn Beckeel, and Bailey. The culture at these shows is just fascinating. It's a crazy counter-culture that I absolutely don't understand, but I love it. I definitely don't fit in, but I like to be on the edge of it. It's based on releasing your anger, but there's so much love. It's just a tight-knit community. There were so many freakin people at this show. Everyone was outside, just chilling in the parking lot. What a social event. Willie Roy and I went across the street to play frisbee, and 4 other dudes joined us. That was a frisbee game for the ages. I thought a lot about Kristina all night. Ran into a few of her friends, Ezra and Timmy. Good ol' Timmy, I thought I met him through Kristina, but shit, I've known him for longer than that. He went on the famous Winthrop traintracks adventure with me.

In The Arms of Providence ... wow. All nice guys and I've been to a few of their shows over the years, but this was their last one, and it was perhaps the most intense set I've ever seen. There was no divide between the band and the crowd. And the last song was drenched with emotion .. I think over half the people didn't understand what was going on. Mike and Chris just kept crying after it was done. It must be scary to know you're playing your last song ever. You don't know what the future holds, and you're so used to one thing that such a big chance may be startling. Then Willie and I talked about Specter's farewell show. Scary to think about, but it'll happen someday.

Denny's after the show was pretty nuts. I've never seen it that packed. Katelyn and I shared a thing of pancakes and homefries, and I drank everybody's drink. Dropped off Bailey for 1, then brought Kyjo and Katelyn back to Kyjo's. Went home and CRASHED into my bed. Woke up around 3:30 when Kristina called But my reception blows and she called back around 4 and we had a nice chat. She's the coolest person ever, I really really like her. Like, really.
